The quoted NTS T&M rates are extended to personal equipment owned by Old Dominion University faculty, staff or students. Equipment must be brought to the Norfolk campus and all work must be paid for at the time of completion. See more here.
Time and Materials (T&M)
- Rate is $55.00 per hour, with a one-half hour minimum charge and all additional time billed in one-quarter hour increments, rounded up or down to the closest 15-minute increment for the actual time spent to repair the equipment.
- Billable time includes only that time which is spent doing the repair. There is no charge for travel time.
- The technician will provide a written estimate of the cost to perform the T&M repair prior to making the actual repair.
- The faculty, staff or student must approve the continuation of the work after being provided with the estimate.
- The faculty, staff or student will be accessed a $30 fee if they elect not to have the work performed after they have been provided with a written estimate.
- Parts installed will come with a 1 year warranty on the part and 90 day warranty on the labor.
- Internal components will be installed for a flat fee of $25 if the driver is loaded automatically from the Operating System or $35 if the driver must be installed from media or downloaded.
- The hourly rate does not include the backup of data on the machines.
- This service will be provided if requested by the customer for a flat fee of $30.
